What we collect

This policy is available in English and Chinese. If the versions differ, the English version prevails. Xingge is operated by Intellizab LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”), which is responsible for your personal data. Sign-in information: the identifier, sign-in email and display name we receive when you sign in with Apple or Google, used to recognise your account. Your astrology data: the birth details you enter (date of birth, time or double-hour, place of birth, and whether to use true solar time) and gender, and the resulting chart. Place of birth is used only to work out local time and daylight saving. Friends & family charts: charts you create for family and friends: the name you give them, your relationship, their birth details (including place of birth) and gender, and books written for them. Ask and Xingling: the questions you ask, the answers you receive (including questions asked on behalf of friends and family), the notes you leave for Xingling, and your interactions with it. Purchases and points: transaction IDs, items, amounts, currency and times from the App Store, Google Play or the website (Stripe); records of points and vouchers added and used; and redeem code usage. We never see or store your credit card number. Referrals and gifts: invite codes, referral rewards, and records of chart gifts you send or receive. Push notification device token (app only): used to send usage reminders. Website cookies and browser storage: see “Cookies and browser storage” below.

How we use data

Drawing charts, generating the Life Book, Year Book and Compatibility Book, answering Ask (including on behalf of others), and Xingling. Birth details you enter for the other person in the compatibility check are used only to draw the chart on the spot and are not stored. The personal daily outlook reads only the birth details already saved in your browser. Processing purchases and points: in-app purchases go through Apple or Google; website payments go through Stripe. The app and website share one account, so points and vouchers work in both. Issuing referral rewards and handling sent charts. Sending usage reminder notifications in the app. Using Google Analytics to understand website traffic and purchase conversion and improve the website (you can turn this off in “Cookie settings”). We don't use your data for advertising, and we never sell or share your personal information.

AI-generated content

The Life Book, Year Book, Compatibility Book and Ask answers are generated by a third-party AI provider. Generation sends only what's needed: chart data (gender, Gregorian and lunar birth details, the four pillars), your question and the last few turns of conversation, plus the notes you've left for Xingling and a short summary of questions you've asked recently (about 1,800 characters at most), so answers fit you. When writing a book or asking on behalf of friends and family, it also includes their name and relationship. This data is used only to generate the content you asked for, is processed on the AI provider's servers in the United States, and is not used for advertising. Your questions and answers are kept in your account so you can look back at them and continue the conversation; they are deleted when you delete your account.

Friends & family charts and sending charts

Please get the other person's consent before creating a chart for them or asking on their behalf. When you delete a friend or family member, the name, birth details and chart type on their chart are erased from our database, and any sent-chart link that hasn't been accepted is cancelled. Books already written for them (which contain their name and chart data) stay in your Library until you delete your account. A sent-chart link is valid for 30 days and can be accepted only once. Anyone with the link can see, without signing in, the sender's name, the recipient's gender and chart type, and, before it's accepted, the titles of books written for them. They cannot see the birth details or the name you gave them. Once accepted, the birth details and books are copied to the recipient's own account and managed by them from then on; deleting your own account doesn't delete their copy.

Where your data is stored

Xingge's website, servers and database are hosted by Tencent Cloud in the United States, and AI generation is also processed in the United States. If you use Xingge from outside the United States, including Taiwan, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We protect it with encrypted connections, access limited to what's needed to run the service, and service providers bound by their own data-protection terms.

Third-party services

Tencent Cloud: hosting for the website, servers and database, located in the United States. Your account and astrology data are stored there. Apple, Google: sign-in. We receive only an identifier, a display name, and the email you agree to share. Apple, Google Play: payments for in-app purchases, handled directly by them. Stripe: payments on the website. Your payment details are collected and stored by Stripe. AI provider: generates books and Ask answers; see “AI-generated content” above. Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager): website traffic analysis. It sets analytics cookies and uses an account identifier to connect one person's browsing and purchases. When a website purchase is completed, our server also reports it to Google Analytics (item, amount, currency, and the analytics identifiers from your browser) so the purchase can be connected to the visit. If you choose “Essential only”, analytics cookies and account identifiers aren't used, only anonymous statistics without cookies are sent, and the server doesn't report your purchases. None of this includes birth details or charts. Cloudflare: website delivery and security, and cookie-free website traffic statistics. We never sell or share your birth details, chart or other astrology data with advertisers.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential (needed for the website to work): ・xg_session (sign-in status): 180 days, cleared when you sign out. ・xg_birth (birth details entered on the website, including place of birth and true solar time): 30 days. When you're not signed in, they're stored only in your browser; when you sign in, they're saved to your account and restored the next time you sign in. Pressing “Use different birth details” or signing out clears them immediately. ・xg_script (language: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese or English) and xg_theme (dark or light): 1 year. ・xg_consent (your cookie choice): 1 year. ・xg_region (whether you're visiting from a region where we ask before using analytics): 30 days. ・xg_ev (temporary storage for passing usage statistics): expires after 2 minutes and is deleted as soon as it's read. ・In this browser's localStorage: recent Ask conversations (including those on behalf of others), chart display preferences, whether you've seen the chart walkthrough, and which lessons you've already told Xingling about. They stay until you clear your browsing data and aren't cleared when you sign out; on a shared computer, please clear your browsing data afterwards. ・In sessionStorage: a marker that stops a cancelled checkout from being reported twice; cleared when you close the tab. Analytics: ・_ga and _ga_<stream> (Google Analytics visitor and session identifiers): about 2 years. ・xg_uid (the identifier Google Analytics uses to match your account, set only when you're signed in): 180 days. A sessionStorage marker records that it's been checked this session. Analytics is on by default. For visitors from the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, it stays off until you agree in the banner. You can change your choice at any time in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. If you choose “Essential only”, existing analytics cookies are cleared, and from then on only anonymous statistics without cookies or account identifiers are sent. The website keeps working as normal. The website installed to your home screen caches only icons and program files, not your chart or personal pages.

Data retention and deletion

While your account exists, data is kept so the service can keep working. You can delete your account at any time in the app's “Settings” or the website's “Me” page. Once deleted, your account, birth details, friends & family charts, books, Ask history, Xingling notes, points and purchase records are removed from our database. Exceptions: Apple, Google and Stripe keep transaction records under their own rules; Google Analytics keeps de-identified statistics for 14 months; and charts already accepted by someone else belong to their account.

Children's privacy

Xingge is not designed for children. Please don't use it if you're under 13; if you're a minor, get a parent's or guardian's permission before buying. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their data, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can view and edit your own and your friends' and family's birth details, or delete your whole account, in the app or on the website. You can also email us to get a copy of your data, or to ask us to correct it or to restrict or stop certain processing. We'll reply within 30 days. If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority. If you live in California, you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information. We don't sell or share personal information, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change to this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
