2027 is a Ding Wei year in Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), starting at Lunar New Year on 2027-02-06. A yearly reading lays the year's stem and branch over your birth chart: everyone's yearly Life Palace is the Wei square, and the Ding transformations are Hua Lu on Tai Yin, Hua Quan on Tian Tong, Hua Ke on Tian Ji and Hua Ji on Ju Men. Below: what each means, a note for every main star, and a free tool to read your own 2027.
The 2027 Ding transformations
- Tai Yin Hua LuLu is flow and incoming resources. Tai Yin governs savings, home and family, so the gain this year builds up slowly.
- Tian Tong Hua QuanQuan is authority and the power to decide. Easy-going Tian Tong is pushed to take charge.
- Tian Ji Hua KeKe is reputation and being seen. Tian Ji is The Strategist, so thinking, planning and study earn recognition.
- Ju Men Hua JiJi marks what weighs on you and needs more care. Ju Men governs speech, so double-check words and agreements this year.

What kind of year is 2027, and when does it start?
2027 is a Ding Wei year, the year of the Goat. Zi Wei Dou Shu changes year at Lunar New Year, which falls on 2027-02-06; before that, the Bing Wu year still applies.
Where is my 2027 yearly Life Palace?
Everyone's 2027 yearly Life Palace is the Wei square, but which of your palaces that is, and which star lives there, differs from person to person. The tool above works it out from your birth date.
My main star gets no Hua Lu in 2027. Is that a bad sign?
No. The transformations only show what gets amplified this year. For a star that is not transformed, look at which of your palaces the four land in and at the yearly Life Palace's San Fang Si Zheng. For many stars the year simply means no outside wind, so you set the pace.
Ju Men's Hua Ji falls in my Life or Spouse Palace. Should I worry?
Hua Ji marks what weighs on you and needs more care, not a disaster. Ju Men governs speech, so wherever it falls, think before you speak in that area and confirm agreements once more. Turn worry into focus.
How do Annual Luck and Decade Luck work together?
Decade Luck (Da Xian) is the backdrop for a stretch of life; Annual Luck (Liu Nian) is that year's weather. The tool also shows the Decade Luck palace you are in now, and reading the two together gives the focus of your 2027.
