Po Jun in 2027: Change, Starting Over and Finishing Well

Ask a Po Jun person how many jobs they've had or how many times they've moved, and they often have to stop and count. Po Jun is Xingge's Breaker: if the old thing doesn't fit, tear it down and rebuild, and starting from zero doesn't scare them much. In the 2027 Ding Wei year, the transformations don't touch Po Jun's line, so nothing outside forces you to tear anything down. With Po Jun in the Life Palace, this year's Hua Lu lands at home and its Hua Ji in your circle of friends. Rather than opening something new, this is a year for closing out the old well.

Po Jun is transformed, but not in Ding years

Following the *Quan Shu* (The Complete Book of Zi Wei Dou Shu), Po Jun takes Hua Lu in Gui years and Hua Quan in Jia years. The Ding Wei year starting February 6, 2027, the Lunar New Year, gives the transformations to Tai Yin, Tian Tong, Tian Ji and Ju Men, so neither reaches Po Jun.

Po Jun's San Fang Si Zheng is itself, Tian Xiang opposite, and Qi Sha and Tan Lang in its trines. The four Ding stars never sit in those boxes, just as with Qi Sha; Qi Sha in 2027 goes into more detail.

With Po Jun in the Life Palace, two things are fixed:

  • Tai Yin's Hua Lu falls in the Property Palace. That's home and where you live, and also what you've saved and built up. With Hua Lu here, settling down goes more smoothly this year.
  • Ju Men's Hua Ji falls in the Friends Palace. That's friends, colleagues and the outer ring of collaborators. Ju Men's Hua Ji makes words easy to misread, and old social debts easy to dig up.

Tian Tong's Hua Quan and Tian Ji's Hua Ke fall somewhere among the Siblings, Children, Health, Property, Parents and Friends Palaces, depending on the chart. For someone who loves change, a year with Hua Lu at home and Hua Ji among people reads plainly: good for settling in, and good for finishing conversations left unfinished.

Po Jun's palace is where you most want to start over

In 2027, look at your Po Jun palace and ask: does this area really need a restart, or am I just bored of it?

Po Jun in the Life Palace

Hua Lu in Property and Hua Ji in Friends both apply. If the urge to change comes up, ask whether you want it or whether friction in your circle is pushing you toward it.

Po Jun in the Property Palace

The classics say Po Jun in the Property Palace breaks first and builds after. Moving, renovating or changing homes often means a period of mess before things settle. Before you start, budget for the messy stretch in both time and money.

Po Jun in the Wealth Palace

Money tends to come in and go out in big swings. Yet the classics also say Po Jun in Zi or Wu in the Wealth Palace can accumulate gold and treasure. Po Jun doesn't mean you can't save; the difference is whether you keep an account you're not allowed to touch.

Po Jun in the Career Palace

At work you're good at reforming systems, rescuing projects and building from scratch. This year, finish the last reform rather than starting another.

Zi Wei and Po Jun in Wei: the strongest urge to tear down

The yearly palace follows the year's branch; 2027 is a Wei year, so it's the Wei box for everyone. What differs is which natal palace that is. Use your free chart to find the Wei box and its palace name; that's 2027's focus.

Po Jun in Wei always shares the box with Zi Wei, and by Xingge's brightness table it's at Wang (Prosperous) there. On that chart the yearly palace stands right on Po Jun, the urge to change tends to be strongest, and it matters even more to tell which changes are truly needed. With Po Jun in Chou, the Wei box is Tian Xiang opposite, so the yearly palace sits at the end that values order: this year is more like adding rules after the last round of change.

Change, starting over and finishing well in 2027

Change: bored, or a bad fit?

Po Jun finds it hard to tolerate old things. That's its gift, and also the most misunderstood thing about it. Not every urge to change means the old thing is broken; sometimes the novelty has simply worn off.

A simple test: write down your reasons for wanting the change and look at them again in two weeks. If the reasons still hold and you can say exactly how the new would be better, it's a bad fit. If they've faded, it's probably boredom. Boredom doesn't always mean tearing down; a new approach or a new challenge is often enough.

Starting over: put the cost in the budget

The classics say Po Jun is killing energy in the sky and the star of expenditure in the chart, so it transforms into Expenditure. Expenditure isn't waste. It's the cost of change: money, time, and rebuilding contacts and trust. Tearing down and rebuilding always takes effort; whether it was worth it depends on what you build.

The classics speak harshly of Po Jun but leave a way out too: only Tian Liang can restrain it, and Lu can calm its wildness. Today that reads as two things. Someone like Tian Liang who hits the brakes, asking "and then what?" when you're about to leap. And a reserve fund, like Lu, that carries you through the gap. With both in place, starting over becomes a plan rather than a gamble.

Finishing well: close out the last thing before tearing down

What Po Jun most often leaves behind is loose ends: a job left without a proper handover, a partnership ended without settling the accounts, a deposit never collected after moving out. They feel minor at the time, but loose ends often become how others describe you later.

With Po Jun in the Life Palace, Ju Men's Hua Ji sits in the Friends Palace, so old loose ends are more likely to resurface as misunderstandings. That makes this a good year for closing things out: finish what went unsaid in your last job, last partnership or last relationship, and settle what needs settling. With Hua Lu in the Property Palace, home is your base this year. Settle the base first, and next time you tear something down, you'll know where you're starting from.

FAQ

Po Jun wants to start over in 2027. How do I know whether to move?

Zi Wei Dou Shu doesn't decide whether you change jobs or move house. Before changing, work out whether you're bored or it's truly a bad fit; write your reasons down and revisit them in two weeks. If you do move, count the cost: money, the gap period and time to rebuild contacts, and close out your last job or home properly first.

What does Po Jun's "Expenditure" mean?

The classics say Po Jun is the star of expenditure in the chart and transforms into Expenditure. It's the cost that change carries, not waste. Po Jun people are brave about starting over; the lesson is estimating, before each restart, what it will cost and whether it's worth it.

Why is 2027 a year for finishing well with Po Jun in the Life Palace?

With Po Jun in the Life Palace, 2027 puts Tai Yin's Hua Lu in the Property Palace and Ju Men's Hua Ji in the Friends Palace: home goes more smoothly, while old social loose ends tend to resurface. The Ding transformations don't touch Po Jun's San Fang Si Zheng either, so nothing outside pushes you into something new. Saying what was left unsaid and settling what needs settling fits the year better than rushing to start over.
