Estimate your birth hour
In Zi Wei Dou Shu the birth hour places your Life Palace, so a chart without it is a guess. Nine questions narrow the twelve possible hours down to the likeliest two.
How the estimate works
With your birth date known, we draw all twelve possible charts and see which fits your answers best. The Body Palace depends only on the hour and comes in pairs, so the questions about what you care about narrow twelve hours to two. The two hours in a pair have opposite Life Palaces with different main stars, and the personality questions tell them apart.
The first question asks roughly when you were born; answering it helps a lot. The result is always an estimate, and your actual birth time is still the best source.
Places to look for your birth time first
Birth certificates and hospital birth records often note the time to the minute, and parents or relatives may remember. Even "just before dawn" or "around lunch" helps: choose that period in the first question.

FAQ
How accurate is the estimate?
It narrows the range; it cannot replace your real birth time. Honest answers and a known time of day make it more reliable. Drawing both candidate charts usually shows which one fits.
What is the difference between early and late Zi?
The Zi period straddles midnight: 00:00–01:00 is early Zi and 23:00–24:00 is late Zi. They are counted against different days when casting a chart, so the chart form lists them separately. This finder compares the twelve periods only; if you were born in late Zi, choose it directly on the chart form.
What can I read without my birth hour?
Your birth-year transformations need only the birth year, and so does your Body Master. The Life Palace star, Life Master, Five Elements Bureau, Body Palace and Origin Palace all need the birth hour.
