Which palaces show your money
Money isn’t only the Wealth Palace. The Wealth Palace shows how you earn and spend. The Fortune Palace sits opposite it and shows how you feel about spending and whether money stays. The Property Palace shows what money turns into: a home, savings, or nothing much. The Career Palace is the work side of where money comes from. Read together, the Flying Stars school calls this the money-and-fortune line.
Xingge splits the Wealth Palace into two questions: how you spend (a saver, generous, or steady) and how you earn (steady income, building your own, many sources, windfalls, or your voice and expertise). Earning well and keeping it are different things, so the two are read separately.
What about windfalls?
A windfall is money you didn’t plan for: bonuses, profit shares, lucky breaks. Tan Lang, Huo Xing or Ling Xing in the Wealth Palace make these more common. On the other hand, Di Kong, Di Jie, Qing Yang or a birth-year Hua Ji there means speculation and short-term trading don’t suit you, and money kept for the long term stays put better. The tool spells out both.
How each main star in the Wealth Palace tends to earn
An empty Wealth Palace borrows the stars of the Fortune Palace opposite. Each link has the full reading.
| Star | Common way of earning |
|---|---|
| Zi Wei | Building something and leading people |
| Tian Ji | Many sources, ideas and planning |
| Tai Yang | Many sources; visibility brings chances |
| Wu Qu | Building your own; earned money |
| Tian Tong | Steady income |
| Lian Zhen | Building your own, by skill and drive |
| Tian Fu | Steady income; best at keeping it |
| Tai Yin | Steady income, built up slowly |
| Tan Lang | Many chances, often windfalls |
| Ju Men | Your voice or expertise |
| Tian Xiang | Steady income, built on trust |
| Tian Liang | Steady income, professional service |
| Qi Sha | Building your own; bold moves |
| Po Jun | Building your own; tear down, then rebuild |
Push or hold this year?
The tool reads the money-and-fortune line for your decade and year: where Hua Lu and Hua Ji from the Career, Life, Travel and Wealth palaces land on the Wealth and Fortune palaces. Hua Lu coming in without Hua Ji pressing is “push”: effort turns into income more easily. When they balance it’s “steady”. When Hua Ji presses on the line it’s “hold”: earn from what you know and let large commitments wait. If this year pushes and next year holds, it reminds you not to put all your capital in.
This is a rhythm on your chart, not investment advice. It doesn’t say what to buy or when, and it doesn’t promise profit. For big financial decisions, talk them through with an accountant or financial adviser.
FAQ
Which palace shows wealth in Zi Wei Dou Shu?
Mainly the Wealth Palace, plus the Fortune Palace opposite it and the Property Palace. Wealth shows earning and spending, Fortune shows whether money stays, and Property shows what it turns into.
Does an empty Wealth Palace mean no money luck?
No. An empty palace borrows the main stars from the Fortune Palace opposite, a little weaker, but your way of earning still shows. How much money you have depends on the whole chart and its timing, not on whether a main star sits there.
Can a chart show whether I should invest?
It shows tendencies. Di Kong, Di Jie, Qing Yang or a birth-year Hua Ji in the Wealth Palace means short-term and speculative moves suit you less, and long-term money stays better. It can’t say what to buy or whether you’ll profit; that needs professional financial judgment.
What if this year’s money looks tight?
A “hold” year doesn’t mean you can’t earn. Earn steadily from what you know and avoid risking big sums. Move large commitments to the next “push” year, or do them in stages with a fallback.
