Short sentences and Ju Men in the Body Palace

Hemingway is known for a spare, restrained style. As a young reporter at The Kansas City Star he absorbed the paper's style guide, "Use short sentences" and "Use vigorous English", which became a foundation for his prose. His Body Palace falls in the Wealth Palace, held by Ju Men (Wang). Ju Men governs speech, and in the Wang position words land precisely and carry weight; the Body Palace is what one grows into over a lifetime. A life spent working on sentences fits Ju Men (Wang) in his Body Palace.
