A boy who loved drawing pastel portraits
As a child Pasteur was an average student whose interests were fishing and sketching, and he drew many pastels and portraits of his parents, friends and neighbors. In his chart, the Body Palace falls in the Fortune Palace, which holds Tai Yin (Miao) and Tai Yang (Bu). The Fortune Palace covers interests and hobbies, and Tai Yin (Miao) is a delicate, quiet star. With the Body Palace here, the things he enjoys stay close to his heart, which fits the time he spent as a boy drawing the people around him.

In July 1885 (nominal age 64), the rabies vaccine from his laboratory was used on 9-year-old Joseph Meister, who had been badly mauled by a rabid dog; three months later the boy was in good health, and Pasteur was hailed as a hero. These years fall in his Travel Palace Decade Luck (nominal ages 64–73). In the decade's Four Transformations, Tian Liang (Xian) takes Hua Quan (Transformation of Power) and returns to the natal Travel Palace, the decade's Life Palace itself. Tian Liang is the sheltering star that can lift troubles from others; the Travel Palace covers one's name in the wider world. It matches his becoming famous for a life-saving vaccine.

In 1887 fundraising began for the Pasteur Institute, with donations from many countries, and it opened in 1888. He brought together scientists with various specialties: the first five departments were each headed by an expert, and he himself served as director. In his chart, the Friends Palace holds Zi Wei (De) with Hua Quan and Tian Xiang (De). The Friends Palace covers colleagues and subordinates; Zi Wei with Hua Quan here means leading a group and holding the reins. His assembling a research team fits this.
Source ↗Silkworm disease at a senior's request
In 1865 the chemist and former Minister of Agriculture and Commerce Jean-Baptiste Dumas asked him to study pébrine, which was devastating silkworm farms in the south of France; as a young man Pasteur had attended Dumas's lectures at the Sorbonne. Between 1865 and 1869 he made five long stays in Alès, and in 1870 he concluded that the corpuscles on the silkworms were the cause of the disease. His Parents Palace holds Wu Qu (Wang) with Hua Ji (Transformation of Obstruction). The Parents Palace also covers teachers and seniors, and Hua Ji is where thought and effort must go. Years of work taken on at a former teacher's request line up with this position.
