Surveying and mapmaking as a young man
As a young man Washington learned mathematics and land surveying and became a talented draftsman and mapmaker. In 1748 he spent a month with a party surveying the Fairfax family's lands in the Shenandoah Valley, and the next year he received a surveyor's license and was appointed surveyor of Culpeper County. In his chart, the Life Palace is an Empty Palace, read through the opposite Travel Palace's Tian Ji (Wang) and Ju Men (Miao). Tian Ji is a star of calculation and planning, which fits his early skill at surveying and mapmaking.
Source ↗Three unanimous elections in his Friends Palace decade
At the Constitutional Convention of 1787 he was unanimously chosen to preside; in 1789 the Electoral College unanimously elected him president, and he took office on April 30 that year; in 1793 he was again re-elected unanimously. These years fall in the Decade Luck of his Friends Palace (nominal ages 55–64), whose Life Palace holds Tan Lang (Ping). The Friends Palace covers friends and the crowd, and a decade of being chosen again and again by common consent lines up with his Decade Luck reaching this palace.
Source ↗Doubling the size of Mount Vernon
After his marriage in 1759 he lived at Mount Vernon, growing tobacco and wheat. Between 1764 and 1766 he switched his main crop from tobacco to wheat, expanded into milling flour and growing hemp, and later doubled the size of the estate to 6,500 acres. In his chart, the Property Palace holds Wu Qu (Wang) with Hua Ji (Transformation of Obstruction). The Property Palace covers the family estate and land, and Hua Ji marks where care and effort go; running his own estate matches this position.
