What Seven Killings is
The element that controls your Day Master, with the same polarity, is Seven Killings, also called Indirect Officer; for a Jia Wood Day Master, Geng Metal. It stands for pressure and challenge from outside: rivals, demanding bosses, intense work. It also stands for nerve, authority and the ability to handle a crisis. The classics say Seven Killings needs to be restrained or transformed: held in check by Eating God, or turned into support through a Resource star. Then pressure becomes skill.
When Seven Killings is strong in your chart
With a strong Seven Killings you have nerve, take on hard things and decide fast, and you do well where pressure is high and change is quick: management, the military or police, medicine, startups, crisis work. Watch for being too hard on yourself and others, letting stress pile up and running short of patience. With a strong Day Master, or a Resource star transforming it, this pressure becomes leadership. With a weak Day Master and nothing to restrain or transform it, share the load rather than forcing it alone.
When Seven Killings is light or missing
With little Seven Killings, life tends to run smoothly and you are rarely pushed to the limit. To build decisiveness, volunteer for one or two challenging tasks and practice courage within a range you can manage.
Luck pillars and years of Seven Killings
In a Seven Killings luck pillar or year, responsibility, pressure and challenge increase; it is often a time of promotion, a change of track or taking on a big task. With Eating God or a Resource star in support, your effort gets noticed. With a weak Day Master, guard your rest and rhythm, and get one more opinion before big decisions.
A tip
The pressure Seven Killings brings is training weight. Choose the one load worth carrying, and learn to set the rest down.
FAQ
Seven Killings means pressure; is that bad?
No. Seven Killings brings nerve, decisiveness and resilience, and many people who carry big responsibilities have it in their charts. The classics focus on whether it is restrained or transformed: with Eating God or a Resource star alongside, pressure becomes achievement.
What is the difference between Seven Killings and Direct Officer?
Both control the Day Master. Seven Killings has the same polarity and hits directly, like a sudden challenge or a rival. Direct Officer has the opposite polarity and is gentler, like a system, a set of rules or a reputation. Seven Killings pushes you to break through; Direct Officer asks you to keep your bearings.
What does Killings and Resource producing each other mean?
Seven Killings produces the Resource star, and the Resource star produces the Day Master, so pressure passes through Resource and becomes knowledge, credentials and support. It often belongs to people who rise through demanding professions, taking on major roles after earning a license or degree.
