A southern European tour as a formative experience
In 1830–31 Disraeli travelled through southern Europe and beyond with his sister's fiancé. His biographer Parry wrote that the journey made him "aware of values that seemed denied to his insular countrymen", and Blake regards the tour as one of the formative experiences of his career. In his chart, the Body Palace falls in the Travel Palace. The Travel Palace covers going out and experiences away from home: a long journey that became a formative experience lines up with the Body Palace falling here.
Source ↗Steering the Reform Bill through in 1867
In 1867 (nominal age 64), as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Disraeli secured the passage of the Reform Bill in the Commons with "marvellous parliamentary skill" and became a hero to his party. The act passed in August, extending the vote to more than 930,000 additional men. In the annual Four Transformations of 1867, Tian Tong (Bu) takes Hua Quan (Transformation of Power) in his natal Career Palace. Hua Quan stands for leading and holding the decision: this was the year he steered the bill through, which fits that year's chart.
Source ↗His bond with Queen Victoria
Disraeli took great care over his relationship with Queen Victoria. By his second term as prime minister he was probably closer to her than any of her other prime ministers, except her first, Lord Melbourne; in 1876 the Queen made him Earl of Beaconsfield. In his chart, the Parents Palace holds Lian Zhen (Li) with Hua Lu (Transformation of Wealth). The Parents Palace is often read as one's superiors, and Hua Lu is often read as a good connection; the Queen's high regard for him is worth setting side by side with this.
