The twelve palaces
What is the Health Palace?
The Health Palace covers your constitution and how you carry stress and handle your emotions.
Three palaces to read with the Health Palace
The palace opposite is the Parents Palace, and the trine palaces are the Property Palace and the Siblings Palace. Together these four make up the San Fang Si Zheng of the Health Palace. The opposite palace has the strongest pull after the palace itself, and the two trines act like the other corners of a triangle, each echoing the others.
The San Fang Si Zheng lesson ›The fourteen main stars in the Health Palace
Below is how each star reads at steady brightness. Brightness and the stars sharing the palace change the reading, so open each one for the full picture.
Zi Wei in the Health Palace ›
You are used to pushing through without showing weakness, and you keep stress bottled up. When you are tired, let the people around you know; there's no shame in it.
Tian Ji in the Health Palace ›
Your nerves tend to stay wound up, and you are still thinking at bedtime. Most of your tiredness is mental.
Tai Yang in the Health Palace ›
Your energy is lit by enthusiasm, and your drive comes on strong. Remember to save some charge for yourself.
Wu Qu in the Health Palace ›
You are used to carrying stress until your body forces you to stop. Learn to rest before you are worn out.
Tian Tong in the Health Palace ›
Your energy follows your mood; when you feel good, you're halfway there. Laziness and a runaway sleep schedule are your biggest risks.
Lian Zhen in the Health Palace ›
You tend to keep stress inside, and your emotions smolder. Find an outlet and talk it out, and life will feel much lighter.
Tian Fu in the Health Palace ›
Your base is steady and you handle pressure well. Eating too well and moving too little is the risk; a regular routine keeps you going.
Tai Yin in the Health Palace ›
Your energy follows your mood and your sleep; when your routine is steady, so are you. Keep some quiet for yourself before bed.
Tan Lang in the Health Palace ›
Your biggest risk is overindulgence: food, drink, late nights and partying too hard all add up. After you've had your fun, remember to rein it in.
Ju Men in the Health Palace ›
You like to think things through in words before you process your feelings. Don't let the drama in your head keep you up past midnight.
Tian Xiang in the Health Palace ›
You tend to take on other people's problems, and fatigue builds up quietly. When you are tired, put it down; you don't have to get everything right.
Tian Liang in the Health Palace ›
You carry pressure with resilience and tend to work through your feelings slowly on your own. Don't always push through; timely rest keeps you going.
Qi Sha in the Health Palace ›
You tend to rush ahead and forget you're tired, and stress hits fast. Leave time to recover, and you'll last.
Po Jun in the Health Palace ›
You charge so boldly that you often run yourself flat. Before you charge, think about how you will recover.
An empty Health Palace
A palace with no main star is called an Empty Palace. You borrow the main stars of the Parents Palace opposite, at somewhat reduced strength.
