Where the chart lines up

Leaving his post and staying in Vienna, 1781

In 1781 (nominal age 27), Mozart fell out with his employer, the Archbishop of Salzburg, and was dismissed. His father wrote urging him to come back, but he decided to stay in Vienna as a freelance performer and composer; the scholar Maynard Solomon calls this a "revolutionary step." His chart has Po Jun (Xian) in the Life Palace. Po Jun is the star that breaks the old setup and starts afresh elsewhere, which lines up with his leaving court service to make his own way.

A court post at last in 1787

In October 1787 (nominal age 33), Don Giovanni premiered in Prague to acclaim; in December of the same year Emperor Joseph II appointed him his "chamber composer", and he finally had a steady post. That year his annual Life Palace moved to his natal Career Palace, which holds Wu Qu (Miao) and Tan Lang (Miao). With the annual Life Palace in the Career Palace, the year's focus is on work, which lines up with these two events.

His father was his only teacher

His father Leopold was a composer and an experienced music teacher, and was the only teacher Mozart and his sister ever had, teaching them languages and academic subjects as well as music. The Italian tour that began in 1769 was also led by his father, who wanted audiences everywhere to see his son's talent. In his chart, the Parents Palace is an Empty Palace, read through the opposite Health Palace's Tian Liang (Miao) with Hua Quan (Transformation of Power). Tian Liang is the star of elders who look after others, and Hua Quan is making the decisions. That fits his father teaching him from childhood and taking him to perform far and wide.
