Where the chart lines up
Crossing three continents after he stopped writing
After giving up writing, Rimbaud learned German, Italian and Spanish and traveled across Europe, mostly on foot; in December 1878 he went to Larnaca in Cyprus, where he worked for a construction company as a stone quarry foreman, and afterwards he traveled on three continents as a merchant and explorer. In his chart, the Travel Palace holds Tan Lang (Wang). The Travel Palace covers going out, and Tan Lang is a restless star that wants to try many things, which lines up with his heading ever outward.
Source ↗His main poems fall in a single Decade Luck
Rimbaud's first poem appeared in print in January 1870; in May 1871 he wrote the Lettres du voyant (Letters of the Seer); in 1874, in London, he worked on the prose poems of Illuminations, and by 20 he had stopped writing altogether. In his Decade Luck for nominal ages 15–24 (1868–1877), the decade's Life Palace moves to the Parents Palace, and in the decade's Four Transformations Wen Qu (Wang) takes Hua Ke (Transformation of Fame) in this palace. Hua Ke corresponds to a literary name, which lines up with most of his poems being written in this decade.
Source ↗A pioneer of Harar coffee
In 1880 Rimbaud joined the Bardey agency in Aden and went on to run its agency in Harar; in 1884 he left to trade on his own account in Harar. He has been described as "a pioneer in the business, the first European to oversee the export of the celebrated coffee of Harar from the country where coffee was born". In his chart, the Wealth Palace holds Wu Qu (De) with Hua Ke. Wu Qu is the wealth star and Hua Ke is reputation: leaving a name as the first in his trade fits this star.
