No patent on radium
The Curies did not patent their method for extracting radium. Radium later became an increasingly profitable industry, yet they themselves gained little from it. In her chart, Di Kong and Di Jie share the Life Palace. Traditionally, Di Kong and Di Jie in the Life Palace are read as taking money lightly and not counting gains into one's own pocket. It fits her not turning this discovery into a source of income for herself.
Source ↗Sharing the 1903 prize with her husband
In 1903 (nominal age 37), she shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with her husband Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel. That year her annual Life Palace reached her natal Spouse Palace, which holds Zi Wei (Wang) and Tan Lang (Li). With the annual Life Palace in the Spouse Palace, the year's focus falls on what husband and wife do together. It matches the prize she and Pierre won jointly.
Source ↗A second prize, in chemistry, in 1911
In 1911 (nominal age 45), she received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery of radium and polonium, becoming the first person to win the prize twice. That year her Minor Luck (Xiao Xian) came back to the Life Palace, her own palace of Tian Xiang (De). With the Minor Luck back in the Life Palace, the year's events fall on her in person. That lines up with her receiving this prize on her own.
Source ↗Her daughter also won a Nobel Prize
Her elder daughter, Irène Joliot-Curie, shared the 1935 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with her husband for the discovery of artificial radioactivity. In Marie Curie's chart, two of the birth-year Four Transformations fall in the Children Palace: Tian Ji (De) with Hua Ke (Transformation of Fame) and Tai Yin (Wang) with Hua Lu (Transformation of Wealth). Hua Ke is reputation and Hua Lu is blessings and returns; with both in the Children Palace, the line of her children carries a glow. Mother and daughter both winning Nobel Prizes is in keeping with this.
